The ClearCourse Recruitment Process

I’ve found my dream job, how do I apply?

1) Search and Apply

So you’ve found your perfect role and hit “apply” on our careers page, now it’s time to create a profile in our job portal.  Don’t forget to upload your latest CV and any copies of certificates or qualifications that may be relevant to your application.  A cover letter is optional but gives you the chance to tell us a bit more about you and highlight your relevant skills and experience.

At ClearCourse we champion and celebrate diversity, so if at any stage of the recruitment process you need any support, then reach out to us and let us know how we can adjust our process to suit your personal needs.

What happens next?

2) Pre-Screening

Our Talent Acquisition team will review your CV and will contact you via email to let you know whether your application has been successful.

Let’s get to know each other

If you’ve got this far, we should really put some faces to names. One of our Talent Acquisition partners will reach out via a phone or video call, then this could be followed by a video interview with your potential future manager or a member of the hiring team.

3) Behavioural Assessment

At ClearCourse we hire people not just skills and with over 900 people, we have a brilliant cross-section of society running through our entire organisation. Part of our interview process includes a short (8 minute) online questionnaire called a PPA which is provided by Thomas International. (You can find out more about this here - https://www.thomas.co/thomas-candidate-test) so that we can better understand how we can support you to be a successful ClearCourser.

Once you have completed this you’ll be provided with a copy of your profile and one of our HR team may reach out to arrange a quick call to discuss your results.

4) Interview

Almost there now, at this point we’d like to meet you again and this could either be online or face-to-face at one of our 30+ offices depending on your location. Typically, you’ll meet your potential future manager and possibly some colleagues.  Now you’ll have the chance to share your strengths and motivations as well as ask any questions you may have about the job.  We understand that you may feel nervous and that’s ok, it just shows that the job is important to you.

5) Offer

Congratulations! We’ve made our decision and now it’s time for you to make yours.

Your Talent Acquisition partner will contact you to present an employment offer and talk through the details. Then we will send it to you in writing so that you can make an informed decision.  Naturally we hope that you say “yes”. When making an offer we are committed to diversity, inclusion and equal pay and make sure that we pay fairly based on skills, experience and qualifications.  This means we might ask you about your salary expectations but won’t be asking you about your previous salary.

Once you have accepted your written offer, we will send you your contract of employment to sign digitally, so that you are ready for your first day.

6) Onboarding

Now that you’ve signed your contract and everything is official, we’ll start your background and reference checks via Credence, (you’ll be contacted by them directly) and your manager will send you an induction plan for your first three months in the business.

As we get closer to your start date, you’ll be advised who is conducting your HR induction video call on the day.  This is where you’ll get to learn everything about being a ClearCourser and will get important information about our policies, benefits and values.
