The Role

 

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager / Account Manager with a strong track record of winning new business and growing existing customer relationships, ideally within EPOS or software solutions.

 

This is a sector-focused role covering Builders & Timber Merchants, Hardware & DIY and Pharmacy, where you will manage an existing portfolio of customers while driving new logo acquisition and upsell opportunities.

 

The role blends new business development with account growth and customer success. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, delivering tailored system demonstrations, building proposals and managing the full sales cycle through to handover.

 

You will be provided with leads, but you will also be expected to proactively generate your own pipeline.

 

Success in this role will come from understanding your customers’ operational challenges and clearly demonstrating how CSY’s EPOS and payments solutions deliver measurable commercial benefits.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive new customer acquisition within your assigned sectors

  • Identify and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities within your account base

  • Promote and increase adoption of CSY’s integrated payments solution

  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to project kick-off

  • Deliver tailored software demonstrations aligned to customer requirements

  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders

  • Reduce churn and ensure customers are successfully adopting the solution

  • Accurately forecast pipeline and report on monthly metrics

  • Collaborate with Support, Operations, Development and Marketing teams

  • Maintain strong product and sector knowledge

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Proven experience selling EPOS or software solutions

  • Experience within Builders Merchants, Hardware / DIY or Pharmacy sectors is highly desirable

  • Strong track record of hitting monthly or quarterly sales targets

  • Confident delivering software demonstrations and presentations

  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills

  • Relationship-driven with the ability to influence senior decision-makers

  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable generating your own pipeline

  • Highly customer-focused with a consultative approach
